When it is time to bid a fond farewell to CWSL, you may want to take your notes with you. If you have OneNote files saved in the cloud at MS365, you will want to download these files to your computer. Using this procedure, you will be able to export your notes from OneNote to a PDF file
To export notes from your OneNote account, you must first have the desktop version of OneNote installed on your computer. You cannot export notes directly from the web version of OneNote. You must have OneNote installed on your computer, the program must be connected to your CWSL account.
In OneNote on the web, click File. Make sure that Info is selected from the list on the left, then click "Edit in Desktop App".
This will trigger the notebook to be downloaded and opened in your Desktop copy of OneNote. Once you have the file open in OneNote on your computer, click File.
Under Export Current, select Notebook.
Under Select Format, select PDF. Then click the Export button. You will be prompted for a name and a location for the PDF file. You will then have a PDF file with all the notes you have saved in OneNote.
On a Mac, the procedure is a little different. In OneNote on the web, you still click File, and Edit in Desktop App. The difference comes when you are in the desktop version of OneNote for the Mac.
In OneNote, click File, then click Save As PDF. |
You will get a dialog box asking you for a file name and location.
The big difference is that you will only be able to export one page at a time to PDF. On the Mac, you will not be able export the entire notebook at once.
If you have any trouble with this procedure, please send email to EdTech@law.cwsl.edu.
