Zoom For Student Organization Meetings

Problem: When a student attempts to log into Zoom with a student organization account, the browser recalls the student’s individual log-in information for Zoom and returns the student to their individual account on Zoom.

There are two ways to get around this (choose one):

  • Use a different browser:  If you normally use Safari, for example, install another browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

      OR

  • Use a private browsing window: Some browsers have a feature where you can open a "private" browsing window.  This separate browsing window doesn't keep a record of your credentials, and will not automatically log you in.

In most browsers you access the menu by clicking the menu button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Then select "New private window" or "New incognito window" or whatever your browser calls it.

  • Accessing Zoom: After performing either of the above methods, go to https://go.cwsl.edu.
  • Log in using the email address and password for your student organization.
  • Once logged in, click on the Zoom icon to open Zoom.

If you can't find the Zoom icon, in the upper left corner click the app launcher button.

On the Apps menu, click the Zoom icon.  If you don't see the Zoom icon, click the All apps link at the bottom of the menu.

When you click on the Zoom app icon, you will get this window.  Click the Host button to start a meeting.
