Network & Computing Support for CWSL Students

Installing Microsoft Authenticator

We are moving all student network accounts to Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA.  You will need to follow these instructions when you are notified that MFA is being activated on your account.

As part of this process, you will need to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and/or tablet.  Before you start these instructions, you should download and install Authenticator.  This is normally done from whichever app store your system uses.

Open Microsoft Authenticator, and Click the Add Account button.

Sign in using your CWSL email address and password.

The system will send a code to your phone, as before.

Enter the code in MS Authenticator.

You will get a screen telling you the account has been added.

From now on, whenever you log in, the system will confirm your log in by sending a code to your phone, or to the MS Authenticator app.

If you have any questions, or problems with any part of these instructions, please call us at 619-525-1473, or send email to EdTech@cwsl.edu.
